Our Business

We started our business as a hobby in 2002 when we opened a small (one room!) B & B in Wellsboro, PA.  We appropriately named our endeavor The Empty Nest since we had just recently sent our youngest off to college.  We enjoyed it so much that when an opportunity came up in Canisteo, NY we just couldn't pass it up!  Now, instead of 1 room, we have 3!

Who We Are

"We" are John and Sharron Cox.  Our interest in collecting antiques over the years has inspired our love of old architecture as well.  Nothing else has the appeal of an old house and its history. 

John's passion is going to auctions and bringing home a "bargain" for Sharron to refinish.  Many of the furnishings in our home have been lovingly restored by us.  

We share our home with a tortoise shell cat named Zelda.  She is very nosy and may visit your room to see what is going on.  However, she is quite independent and does not like to be held or cuddled.  Even though she is declawed, we suggest guests do not handle her.
